The cheating in PC games is not nearly as effective as the videogame itself. I used to be obsessed with video games that were violent, and I would imagine/dream/daydream about them all the time. That was something telling me I had to play it much less often since it wasn’t healthy at that point.
Cheating in the game can just get him kicked/banned or upset, but it won’t really hurt him, not nearly as much as obsessing about the game itself due to its violent nature.
A common cheat is an AimBot. This is a script that modifies the physics of the game to give you an advantage by automatically turning/moving every bullet fired into a headshot (or to another player). COD2 has attempted to stop aimbotters by having a reply method when you die, which works well, but back to the point xD
Is he playing online with others or just the campaign/single player mode?

Good.
Have junior join the Marines and while he’s dodging bullets in Bhagdad or avoiding IEDs maybe he can find that magical med kit everyone seems to be searching for.
Most of the youth today can’t function in school or work without cutting corners or cheating. Which all catches up with them in the longrun. We’ve a generation or two of losers. The simpletons outweigh the real go getters of the same generation who practice proper work ethics and advance to become successful in their lives, leaving the real mopes in the dust.
But that’s okay. The world needs ditch diggers and gas station attendants too.
