I have been running into a lot of glitches in my Sims 2 game for the PC. Help?

I don’t think custom content can have those effects on your game, unless you downloaded one that was new/not beta tested and may have glitches. Or, if you downloaded TONS of custom content that may slow your game down, but it shouldn’t have any other errors.
Cheat codes can mess up your game, but depends on which ones you use. Motherlode won’t mess it up unless you use it and go up to an outrageous amount where the digits crash, which is highly unlikely. The boolprop testingcheatsenabled true is the glitchiest cheat, someone I know kept using that cheat and she wasn’t able to throw parties effectively. I don’t know exactly what’s wrong, but if you try in, say, a different community, it might work.
If you’re feeling desperate to solve a problem and different communities don’t work, try reinstalling the game. I would only recommend this for a last-ditch effort, though.
